Are you experiencing difficulties making your CalVet payment?
If you have fallen behind on your loan or anticipate that you will be unable to make a payment, please call us at 800-700-2127 or 916-503-8356. We may be able to help. Our team of experienced agents will help you make arrangements to bring your loan current. CalVet has successfully assisted many customers experiencing financial hardship by listening to their unique financial circumstances and presenting the best options.
Our knowledgeable agents are available to help you understand all of your options allowing you to make the best decision based on your situation. We offer a One-Time Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) option for your convenience. You also may be eligible for a loan modification, repayment agreement, or the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act.
In order to help you avoid a late payment, we offer an alternative payment solution—our One-Time Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) option. This is a quick and secure one-time deduction from your personal account. With an EFT, the funds are transferred electronically so you don't have to mail a check. If you would like to take advantage of this option, please provide the following.
One-Time Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Application: Please fill out and sign this form.
Copy of voided check: Attach a voided check from your checking account. If you prefer to have the money withdrawn from your savings account, provide the savings account number and the routing/American Banker Association number (ABA#).
E-mail the documents to
LoanServ@calvet.ca.gov: this may be a scan or a photo of your application and voided check.
CalVet will attempt to have the transaction completed within two business days of receipt of your EFT form and voided check, but there may be times a delay is unavoidable. If there is a delay, we will contact you to inform you when the transaction is expected to occur. If you have any questions, please call us at 800-700-2127 or 916-503-8356.
A loan modification is a permanent change in the term of your loan, which results in a lower monthly loan payment for qualified CalVet homeowners.
CalVet offers repayment agreements to assist you in bringing your loan current by paying the delinquent amount over a period of time rather than all at once. The past due amount is divided into an affordable amount which is paid together with the regular monthly payment over a specified repayment term.
Activation and deployment may cause hardship for a service member, or their family. Certain options are available to offset these hardships under the provisions of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and California Military Families Financial Relief Act. Additional details regarding these programs can be found on our website at Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA).
CalVet Hardship Assistance programs are only available to existing CalVet contract holders.
