Payments & Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Electronic Funds Transfer

Your payment is due the first of the month but you are allowed a 15 day grace period.  We suggest you mail your check or schedule your online payment by the 10th of the month to allow sufficient time for us to receive your check.

Your billing statement will be mailed to you approximately one week before the due date.  Payments received after the 16th of the month will be assessed a late fee.  The maximum amount of a late fee is 4% of your principal and interest payment.

Payments should be mailed to Department of Veterans Affairs, PO Box 942888, Sacramento, CA 94288-0001.

Cash is not an acceptable form of payment nor should checks be postdated as they are cashed when received.  There is a $25.00 fee for payments returned by your banking institution.

We also offer an alternative payment solution—our Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) program.  If you wish to apply for our EFT program, it’s simple:

  • Complete an Electronic Funds Transfer Request form

  • Attach a voided check if you want the payment withdrawn from your checking account or provide the savings account number and the routing/American Banker Association number (ABA#) if you want the money withdrawn from your savings account, and

  • Mail the documents to the Loan Servicing Unit.
