CIW veterans in prison group donates gifts to Army base
12/28/2017

INSIDE CDCR --- On Dec. 3, California Institution for Women's (CIW) Case Records Technician Carol Taylor participated in the U.S. Army 155th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion Holiday Celebration for "Family Day" with over 700 veterans and their families. Taylor is a sponsor for CIW's Veterans in Prison (VIP Post 1), an inmate group at CIW.

Taylor was able to greet over 300 U.S. Army veterans and their families who received crochet scarves, hats, eyeglass cases, toys, quilts and pillows. They also made plastic-canvas baskets for walkers and collected plastic grocery bags which are made into blankets for the veterans so they do not have to sleep on the ground.
