Isaiah Mall is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet). He serves as a member of the agency's executive management team and is responsible for the management and supervision of the agency's Information Services Division
He has more than 20 years of service as an Information Technology (IT) leader in both the private and public sectors. He began his state career at the California State Personnel Board (SPB) as a programmer and systems administrator, before taking on several leadership positions including web/application development and support supervisor, enterprise architect, and project manager. He advanced his state career at the California Department of Technology, where he managed a large portfolio and provided oversight of numerous medium to large state IT projects. In 2013, he joined CalVet , where he has served in the roles of project director, chief of applications and projects, and Chief Technology Officer.
Isaiah holds a BS in Computer Science from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS), is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a graduate of the CSUS Leadership for the Government Executive (LGE) Program. He serves on the Information Technology Executive Council, led by the California Department of Technology.
He lives in Vacaville with his wife, Anushua and daughter, Mehreen.
