Irvine voters in June will decide location of Orange County’s first veterans cemetery
1/9/2018

ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER --- It will be up to Irvine voters to decide where Orange County's first veterans cemetery will be built. The vote will be on June 5, the Irvine City Council decided Tuesday, Jan. 9, at its first meeting of the year.

The decision came after a group of residents collected enough signatures to hold a referendum over the City Council's approval of a land swap that would put the state-run cemetery on strawberry fields near the I-5/I-405 interchange.
