  • County Subvention 
    ​County Subvention relates to the County Veterans Service Officer program. The reason for the adoption of these regulations is to clarify language regarding funding, expenses, and reporting, and add a section in the Veterans Service Officer Fund (VSOF) section regarding procedures for a new mentor program
  • California became the fifth state to allow physicians to prescribe terminally ill patients medication to end their lives under the “End of Life Option Act”. The reason for this regulation is defines the CalVet policies on end of life requests and federal law as it pertains to Veterans’ Homes
  • State Veterans Cemeteries (Burial Fees and Disinterment):CalVet currently operates State Veterans Cemeteries in the towns of Igo, Yountville, and in Monterey County. This regulation involves fees for State Veterans Cemetery. The specific reason for these adoptions of the regulations is to provide for the perpetual maintenance of the State Veterans Cemeteries
  • State Veterans Cemeteries (Monuments and Memorials):CalVet currently operates State Veterans Cemeteries in the towns of Igo, Yountville, and in Monterey County. The reason for the adoption of this regulation is to describe the process for proposal and approval of monuments and memorials in state veteran cemeteries.
  • CalVet currently operates eight Veterans Homes that are located Yountville, Barstow, Chula Vista, Lancaster, Ventura, West Los Angeles, Fresno and Redding. The reason for this regulation is to make specific how CalVet determines eligibility for admission to California Veterans Homes.
  • Morale, Welfare, and Recreation 
    On July 1, 2018 CalVet adopted Senate Bill 543 to implement the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation program instituted by legislation. The reason for the implementation of this bill is to create a central fund for all eight Veterans' Homes and allocate money according to each home's annual budget.
