The Mental Health Service Act helps organizations addresses a broad continuum of prevention, early intervention and provide services. These veteran services serve to promote, preserve, or restore the health of veterans. CalVet receives funding from the California Department of Health Care Services for mental health outreach to veterans, please see our grant program page to see the counties that received funding.
Before, during, or after deployment, some service members may experience mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, TBI, or suicidal thoughts. A person's mental health is just as important as their physical health.
If you or someone you know are seeking mental health services, please see our Mental Health Services page.
