The Communications and Public Affairs Division (Communications) at the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) was created in July 2014, when the Communications & Legislative Affairs Division was divided into two offices, a Legislation and Government Affairs Division and a Communications Division.

The mission of CalVet's Communications Division is to drive the overall communications strategy of the Department as the Divisions within the agency provide advocacy, information, outreach, and support to our California Veterans and their families.
